Jennifer has over 20 years of comprehensive tax experience, including Opportunity Zones, real estate, construction, and investment funds. She specializes in tax compliance, planning, and consulting for businesses and individuals.
Jennifer’s real estate focus includes real estate developers of commercial properties and large multifamily residential properties, including Low Income Housing Tax Credits. She has experience with different entity types, with an emphasis on partnerships. Her partnership experience encompasses contributions of built-in gain property, basis step-ups as well as partnership mergers. In addition to partnerships, she also has experience with S and C corporations as well as the individual owners of the businesses.
Jennifer’s construction experience includes both general contractors and subcontractors in the commercial and homebuilding industries. Specifically, her contractor experience includes consulting on accounting methods, planning for net operating losses, and shareholder tax planning.
Jennifer’s work with Opportunity Zones includes consulting on the setup and compliance for Qualified Opportunity Zone Funds and Qualified Opportunity Zone Businesses. Her in-depth knowledge and insight on the topic led to her being named a Top 25 influencer in the tax specialist category by Opportunity Zone Magazine in 2021 and 2022.
Jennifer earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati. She is also has a tax section membership with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
