As a Director on the Barnes Dennig tax consulting team, Scott helps lead the firm’s transaction based engagements which include valuation services, M&A engagements, and succession planning to name a few. He has over 18 years of experience both in and out of public accounting and receives advanced training to help middle-market clients traverse an ever changing business environment to make informed decisions that align with their long-term strategy.
His knowledge of available tax credits and incentives is complemented by a thorough understanding of the various structuring options and a commitment to open communication and client service. Scott has helped clients in a wide variety of industries successfully negotiate several million dollars in tax credits for employment and training, investments, manufacturing, development and renewable energy initiatives.
Scott is a frequent lecturer and authors many of the firm’s blogs and white papers. His ability to distill complex technical topics down to an understandable and actionable plan makes him a sought-after resource for many of our clients. He has dedicated his career partnering with clients to help them minimize tax and implement solutions to difficult multi-faceted problems.
Scott is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA), National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA), and the Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors (AM&AA). He graduated from Northern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
