About Joe
Joe has gained a wealth of knowledge during his time at Barnes Dennig, rising through the ranks from co-op to Director. He was promoted to Director (owner) in recognition of his success in leading one of the firm’s largest client service teams, dedication to audit quality, and growing the firm’s qualified benefit plan audit practice.
Over two decades of public accounting experience has provided Joe an opportunity to provide services to many organizations in numerous industries including; manufacturing, distribution, construction, service, and software. He has also provided a variety of other consulting services including acquisition due diligence, internal control reporting, forecasting and projections and accounting outsourcing. He is the firm’s qualified benefit plan audit practice leader and involved in the firm’s internal training.
Joe is an integral part of the firm’s quality control process. He is an active member of the firm’s Accounting and Auditing Committee, which is responsible for leading and monitoring the quality of our firm’s accounting and auditing practice. He also serves on the Allinial Global Accounting and Auditing Committee, which provides recommendations on proposed standards updates as well as implementation guidance to its members. He has spoken at various Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants CPE seminars as well as numerous client seminars.
Joe is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati where he majored in accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA). Joe is a coach and board member of the Anderson Fastpitch Softball Association. He is also the past Treasurer of the Autism Society of Greater Cincinnati.
