Steve has comprehensive accounting, tax, and consulting experience with closely held businesses and their owners, focused on providing excellent client service. Prior to joining Barnes Dennig in 2022, he has accumulated over 25 years of experience with two Indiana CPA firms, primarily working with business professionals, professional services, rental real estate and high net worth clients. His previous experiences as a manufacturing cost accountant, outsourced CFO and a controller for an architectural and engineering company has provided him with a strong business acumen and a holistic view of the business challenges clients face.
As much as providing quality client service is a high priority, at the center of his career is his love for God and his family, which includes his wife and their two children. Steve fills his weekends with DIY projects, traveling, and spending time with family.
Steve graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance. He earned his Certified Public Accountant certification in 1999 and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Indiana CPA Society (INCPAS).
