Steven J. Bailey, CPA, MBA


Steve has over 15 years of experience with Barnes Dennig and leads the firm’s Wholesale/Distribution practice.  He plays an integral role on the assurance side of the practice with involvement on some of the firm’s largest and most complex assurance clients. Steve serves an array of clients in various industries with a significant concentration in the wholesale/distribution and manufacturing industries.

Steve provides leadership for the firm in the area of Employee Benefit Plan audits and Captive Insurance auditing. Steve has received his Associate in Captive Insurance (ACI) designation through his work in the captive industry. He also performs peer reviews of other accounting firms as required by CPA professional standards.

Steve serves on the firm’s Assurance Quality Control Committee. In this role, he helps the firm to deliver assurance services of the highest quality. His breadth of knowledge, experience, and training spans both the accounting and audit disciplines. He is well regarded by his clients and co-workers for his insight, ability and positive attitude.

Steve has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Cincinnati and has earned his MBA from Xavier University with a Finance concentration. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants.
