The National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA) announced its list of Top 30 Under 30 Business Valuation Analysts for 2025, and we’re delighted that Barnes Dennig Business Valuation Analyst and Manager Dan Schlachter is one of the honorees!
This annual awards program shines a spotlight on the profession’s rising stars, honoring emerging professionals already making meaningful contributions to the fields of business valuation, financial forensics, and litigation consulting.
According to NACVA, the honorees stand out not just for their technical expertise (though that’s also considerable), but for their drive, innovation, and leadership potential – qualities that are shaping the profession’s future. While they represent a diverse range of firms, roles, and backgrounds, they all share a commitment to excellence and advancement in their field.
Barnes Dennig Managing Director Jay Rammes says, “Valuations are a vital part of the solutions we deliver to our clients – helping business owners make informed decisions with clarity and confidence. We’re incredibly proud to see Dan recognized as one of the Top 30 Under 30 Business Valuation Analysts in the country. This achievement reflects not only his exceptional talent and dedication, but also our firm’s commitment to nurturing emerging professionals and investing in the future of our practice. Developing the next generation of valuation leaders is essential to ensuring our clients continue to receive the highest level of insight and expertise.”
Dan says, “I’m deeply honored to be recognized by this prestigious award. I have a great passion for business valuations and the important service our practice provides to the business community – they’re a critical element of succession planning and bring peace of mind to business owners as they exit their businesses and prepare for their next adventure.”
NACVA asked honorees to provide their perspective on the most important issue the business valuation practice faces, and Dan responded by saying, “The most important issue facing the financial consulting profession, among other professions, is the rapid advancement of technology. More than ever, it has become critical to showcase the importance of a human connection and relationship building amongst increasingly automated processes. Many technological advancements have provided financial professionals with time savings, vast technical knowledge, and various opportunities, but human advisors are still the ones providing the strategic judgment and building trust with clients. The firms that are able to capitalize on the benefits of technology while still maintaining strong client relationships are the ones poised for success in the future.”
Barnes Dennig Business Valuation Practice Leader and Director Harold Kremer, who was recognized as one of the Top 100 Business Valuation Analysts in the country by Forbes earlier this year and who nominated Dan, says “I’ve had the honor of working with Dan on business valuations since very early in his career, and I’m so proud of how he’s developed and his passion for the work. He’s providing exceptional insight and value to our clients, providing them with crucial peace of mind in knowing what the business they’ve built is worth and ensuring it goes on after they leave it. I was honored to nominate Dan and so pleased to see him recognized by this prestigious award!”
Recognition as a NACVA 30 Under Thirty honoree brings with it more than a title – it offers professional credibility, visibility, and connection within a growing and evolving industry. It also helps raise awareness of the vital work that valuation and financial consulting professionals do to support businesses and communities across the country.
By honoring these promising individuals, NACVA not only celebrates their current achievements but also invests in the future of the profession: inspiring others to lead, innovate, and elevate the standards of the field.
