MATTHEW D. ROSEN, CPA
Manager / Assistant Team Leader
Matt’s technical knowledge, attention to detail and leadership skills make him an asset to Barnes Dennig’s clients and staff. He has considerable experience with audit and tax engagements, as well as accounting projects of varying scopes, and he has served a leadership role within the firm since early in his career.
As an assistant team leader on the manufacturing client service team, Matt manages 15 professionals who work with some of the firm’s largest and most complex clients. He also is a member of the firm’s employee benefit plan audit team and receives annual training specific to benefit plan audits.
In addition, Matt is one of the founders of Barnes Dennig’s Emerging Professionals Task Force and he holds a key role on the Steering Committee. The Emerging Professionals Task Force sponsors events and training sessions to help members of the firm learn new skills, develop business relationships and achieve life/work balance.
Matt earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Miami University, with a minor in business legal studies. He is currently enrolled in the MBA program at Xavier University. Matt was a member of the accounting honors fraternity Beta Alpha Psi while at Miami, and he held leadership positions in Miami’s Chess Club and the Ohio Scholastic Chess Association. He was Ohio Collegiate Chess Champion in 2004.
