ROBERT J. RAMSAY, CPA, CISA, CITP
Senior Manager
Robert has performed audit services for more than 10 years, helping organizations of various sizes and entity types strengthen their internal controls, with a particular focus on IT controls. He is a member of the firm’s non-profit client service team and has worked with organizations across the sector. Prior to joining Barnes Dennig, he managed audits for local and international CPA firms.
In addition to being a CPA, Robert has earned the designations of Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP). He has extensive experience managing technology audits and service organization controls (SOC) reporting. Robert has documented and tested accounting processes and systems for public companies like IBM and small local nonprofits using QuickBooks. He is a member of InfraGard.
As a Senior Manager on Barnes Dennig’s non-profit client service team, Robert is responsible for overseeing all necessary audit fieldwork. He works directly with clients to ensure that expectations are met and all issues are communicated and resolved on a timely basis.
Robert graduated in 1992 with distinction from Indiana University, earning a B.S. in accounting with a concentration in sociology. He is a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants and serves as Board Treasurer for the Cincinnati Community ToolBank. He is a volunteer presenter for the United Way’s BOLD program, NKU’s Nonprofit Management courses and for the Ohio Society of CPAs. He is also a former president of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) Chapter in Atlanta, and he serves on ISACA's Government and Regulatory Advisory subcommittee.
