About Cory
As a Director at Barnes Dennig, Cory provides assurance services to clients in the not-for-profit, affordable housing, construction, and service industries. He began his accounting career specializing in real estate, focusing on HUD and Section 42 Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) properties.
Since joining Barnes Dennig, he has worked extensively with the firm’s not-for-profit clients, including religious, social service, arts, education, and membership organizations. Cory performs compliance audits of organizations by the Uniform Guidance (fka OMB Circular A-133), and he’s also a member of the firm’s Employee Benefit Plan audit team.
Cory is dedicated to partnering with his clients to ensure the timely and thorough delivery of solutions to their challenges. He takes pride in continuing to expand his knowledge through professional education, taking on new challenges, and working directly with industry thought leaders.
As a member of the firm’s Assurance Quality Control Committee, he assists in delivering exceptional assurance services that provide clients with peace of mind. His comprehensive training and experience across accounting and auditing disciplines have earned him the respect of both clients and colleagues for his keen insight and proficiency.
Cory graduated from Indiana University Kelley School of Business in Bloomington with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Management. He earned his Certified Public Accountant certification in 2015 and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Indiana CPA Society (INCPAS).
