In addition to her tax expertise, Chaleise leads initiatives in forensic accounting as a Certified Fraud Examiner, uncovering discrepancies and safeguarding organizational integrity. A Summa Cum Laude graduate of Indiana State University, Chaleise earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Administration, ranking in the top 3% of her class. Her academic achievements laid the foundation for a career defined by integrity, innovation, and impact.
Her leadership has earned her recognition across the profession. In 2025, Chaleise was honored as an INCPAS Women to Watch Award recipient, celebrating her contributions to the accounting industry and her commitment to advancing the profession. That same year, she graduated from the prestigious AICPA Leadership Academy, a program designed to develop the next generation of influential leaders in accounting.
Chaleise’s dedication to excellence extends beyond her role at Barnes Dennig. She serves on the Indiana CPA Society Tax Advisory Council, is actively involved with the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, is Treasurer of Executive Women in Finance, and volunteers with the Indiana Eventing Association, showing her passion for giving back to the community.
When she’s not advising clients through complex tax and financial challenges, Chaleise enjoys riding and competing with her horses, board gaming, crafting, sewing and spending time with her husband and their two cats, Steiner and Peppermint Patty. She’s also an avid reader and lifelong learner, always seeking new perspectives and ideas.
