Meet the Speakers
Dr. Marc A. Sweeney, a highly accomplished figure in pharmacy and healthcare consulting, holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Ohio Northern University and a Doctor of Pharmacy from The Ohio State University. Dr. Sweeney co-founded Profero Team, LLC, a prominent pharmacy and healthcare consulting company. Currently serving as a pharmacy benefits consultant for USI, Dr. Sweeney has led numerous initiatives in pharmacy practice and education. He is also deeply involved in professional organizations, including serving as the Past President of the Ohio Pharmacists Association and Director of the Entrepreneurship Center for the Ohio Pharmacists Association and Foundation. Dr. Sweeney’s contributions extend to research in pharmacy practice, pharmacy education, rural health initiatives, and patient safety, making him a respected leader in the field.
Dan Holthaus leads Barnes Dennig’s Client Accounting & Advisory Services team and is a well-respected Director on Barnes Dennig’s Construction client service team and Employee Benefit Plan audit group. He also spends time conducting peer reviews and helping clients with various project work, with a focus on helping our clients succeed in every aspect of their business. With a work ethic that is second-to-none, his high performance and dedication to Barnes Dennig and the firm’s clients is noted by many.
Nick Maronde is responsible for leading and growing USI’s smaller group employee benefits practice throughout Ohio and Kentucky. Serving employer groups with 50 employees or less. Nick takes great pride in helping his clients navigate risk and manage every component of the healthcare dollar. Nick provides solutions based around plan design, financial allocation, population health management, and technology.
