VP Sales / Sales Manager Compensation at Cincinnati-based Distribution Companies
How has VP/Sales Manager base salary changed over the years?
In the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area, the answer differs depending on the size of your distribution company.
As found in the 2012 Wholesale/Distribution Compensation & Benefits Benchmarking Study, VP Sales/Sales Manager compensation for smaller companies took a hit in the downturn of the economy in 2008 and 2009. Conversely, compensation for that same role at larger distributors grew until recently.
