About Kathy
Kathy has over 30 years of experience providing assurance services to not-for-profit organizations in Indiana. She joined the firm in 2016 as a part of Gauthier & Kimmerling’s combination with Barnes Dennig.
She has worked with numerous non-profit organizations, HUD, and Section 42 low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) projects. She works directly with clients regarding accounting and audit-related matters. Kathy is compliant with all continuing education requirements, including yellow book and governmental auditing standards.
Kathy has focused her career on audits of community development corporations, social service agencies, low-income housing real estate partnerships, and HUD projects. She has developed special expertise in grant accounting, non-profit budgeting, Section 42 tax credit accounting, and HUD audits. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and its Not-for-Profit section as well as the Indiana CPA Society.
Kathy is a 1981 graduate of the Indiana University Kelley School of Business in Bloomington with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, where she graduated with high distinction.
