Julie has nearly 20 years of experience providing tax compliance and consulting services to middle-market, closely held companies in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, construction, real estate, leasing, and hospitality. She has devoted a significant portion of her career to serving U.S. clients with international operations or foreign-based companies with domestic operations.
Julie has extensive experience in assisting clients with their global business needs, and expat and foreign national tax planning and compliance. She works with companies during the merger and acquisition process to analyze and develop tax strategy and structure deals in the most advantageous way. She also has considerable experience with personal tax planning.
Her areas of expertise include reviewing annual and quarterly ASC 740 calculations, preparing reporting packages to SEC parent companies, assisting clients structuring foreign entities, and assisting clients restructuring after bankruptcy.
Prior to joining Barnes Dennig, Julie worked for an international accounting firm and a national firm. She holds a Master of Science in Taxation from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Northern Kentucky University. She is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has served on the board of directors for the Greater Cincinnati Japan America Society, the Cincinnati Chinese Chamber of Commerce, and the Southern Ohio District Export Council.
