About Alan
As an attorney, CPA and CVA (Certified Valuation Analyst), Alan offers a wealth of knowledge in assisting clients with strategic financial decisions. Alan’s career experience includes work at an international CPA firm, as well as ten years of service as a Revenue Agent for the IRS.
He has extensive experience in the real estate industry, assisting clients with entity structure and limited partnership questions as well as the tax ramifications of property acquisitions and dispositions. Alan understands the latest strategies for utilizing LLCs and other flow-through entities to create tax-advantaged corporate structures. He recently spoke at the Southwest Ohio Tax Institute on “Hot Topics in Flow-Through Entity Taxation.”
His responsibilities include assisting attorneys with valuation matters and litigation support. Alan also spends a significant amount of time researching and clarifying complex tax issues for the firm’s clients.
Alan is a frequent and highly regarded speaker for the University of Cincinnati’s annual tax conference and has been a featured speaker for both the Ohio Society of CPAs and the Cincinnati Bar Association. Additionally, he has spoken at the University of Cincinnati’s Goering Center Next Generation Institute on topics of importance to family business members.
Alan earned his BA in business from the University of Cincinnati and earned a JD from Capital University Law School.
