Steve is very involved in the firm’s approach to accounting and audit functions. His expertise includes a clear understanding of the financial challenges of privately held businesses in a variety of industries including construction, manufacturing, distribution and services. He is a key player on audit engagements for many Barnes Dennig clients. Also, Steve has led a number of due diligence engagements to help clients through the mergers and acquisitions process.
Steve helps his clients minimize tax burdens by utilizing his sound understanding of both corporate and personal tax law. In addition, he is a key member of the firm’s employee benefit plan audit team.
Steve has more than 25 years of experience with Barnes Dennig, and is focused in creating both technical and audit efficiencies. Steve is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.
A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, Steve majored in accounting and earned a BBA. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA). He currently chairs the OSCPA’s Peer Review Committee.
