Senior Tax Manager
Julie has nearly 20 years of experience providing tax compliance and consulting services to middle-market, closely held area companies in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, construction, real estate, leasing, and hospitality. Julie also has extensive experience in sales and use taxation and has provided clients with assistance during sales and use tax audits. Another area of experience is her work with companies during the merger and acquisition process to analyze and develop tax strategy and structure deals in the most advantageous way. Another area of strength is the area of personal tax planning.
Additionally, Julie has worked with numerous ESOP clients throughout her public accounting career. Another highlight of her work experience is the five years she spent as an Employee Benefit Plan Auditor. Extensive international tax experience rounds out her credentials.
Prior to joining Barnes Dennig, Julie worked at a large, international accounting firm and a national firm for over 15 years. She holds a master of science in taxation from the University of Cincinnati, and a bachelor of science in accounting from Northern Kentucky University. Additionally, she is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and serves on the board of directors for the Greater Cincinnati Japan America Society.
