Joe has gained a wealth of knowledge during his time at Barnes Dennig, rising through the ranks from co-op to Director. He was recently promoted to Director (owner) in recognition of his success in leading the firm’s manufacturing client service team and growing the firm’s employee benefit plan audit team.

In more than a decade on the manufacturing client service team, Joe has learned the intricacies of audit work through his involvement with some of the firm’s largest and most complex clients. He is an active member of the firm’s Accounting and Auditing Committee, and he serves on the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants’ Accounting and Auditing Committee.

Joe’s in-depth understanding of the Department of Labor requirements and his knowledge of the employee benefit plan audit realm make him a decided asset to the firm and its clients. He receives extensive continuing education on plan auditing, and in recent years he has spoken on hot topics in benefit plan administration at the firm’s annual seminar for plan sponsors.

Joe is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati where he majored in accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA). He is also the Treasurer of the Autism Society of Greater Cincinnati.
