 | RICHARD L. BATTERBERRY, CPA Director “Helping clients build their organizations for long term success and maximum financial stability is the best part of my job. Ticking and tying is important but it’s just the means we use to figure out if the key strategic decisions we’ve made in the past are having the desired impact in the marketplace today.” Rich has a solid track record in helping his clients improve both cash flow and profits. In a career that has spanned three decades, Rich has worked with a wide variety of companies and organizations on numerous financial, tax and operational matters. His vast background provides a unique perspective on the more difficult issues facing his clients today including increasingly stringent audit parameters, growing tax compliance burdens and the fast pace of technological change in business today. Rich has clients in a variety of industries with special expertise in Health Care, Wholesale-Distribution and Not-For-Profits. Rich brings experience and a steady hand to the practice of accounting. His career started in industry and soon after, he gained expertise at a large international CPA firm. In 1983, Rich founded his own firm, Spaeth & Batterberry, to combine his hard-earned experience with a fundamental commitment to providing his clients with peace of mind through exceptional client service. Rich is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and Ohio Society of CPAs. He also serves as Treasurer on the boards of two non-profit entities, serves on the grants allocation committee at the Fine Arts Fund, and is the Treasurer of a local municipality.
